Slaughter of the Vampires (1962) centers on a newlywed couple whose idyllic life in a remote castle is disrupted when a seductive vampire begins to prey upon the bride. As her vitality fades under the creature’s influence, a determined doctor races to save her before she is lost to the undead. Combining gothic romance with lurid horror, the film leans into atmospheric sets and melodramatic intensity characteristic of early ’60s Italian horror.
