He had a talent for trouble… a greedy gun… and a taste for gaudy women
Film Synopsis
Deported (1950) portrays an Italian-born gangster returning to his hometown after being expelled from the United States. He uses hidden money to purchase food and medicine, intending to hijack the shipment and resell it through the black market, but his relationship with the countess overseeing the relief effort complicates the plan. This location-shot gangster drama places criminal calculation and romantic uncertainty against postwar scarcity in Naples, Siena, and the Tuscan countryside.
