Film Synopsis

Zaat (1971) centers on a brilliant but unstable scientist living in isolation in the Florida Everglades. As his experiments lead him to inject himself with a chemical formula that gradually transforms him into a humanoid catfish-like creature while local authorities investigate a series of strange deaths and disappearances, his quest for vengeance grows increasingly dangerous. This horror film examines obsession and scientific ambition within a remote swamp environment, as unchecked experimentation gives way to mutation and violence, with mad science, creature horror, and exploitation-film spectacle.
