Synopsis
Weekend at Bernie’s (1989) portrays two ambitious office workers whose weekend getaway turns into an increasingly bizarre ordeal after they discover their wealthy employer has been murdered. As hired killers continue their pursuit, unsuspecting partygoers mistake the corpse for a carefree host, and every desperate attempt to escape only deepens the deception. Blending dark comedy, crime caper, and farcical slapstick, the film examines greed, mistaken identity, and survival through an escalating series of outrageous misunderstandings.
