Film Synopsis
The Wings of Eagles (1957) portrays naval aviator Frank “Spig” Wead, whose determination to advance military aviation comes at an increasing cost to his family life. After an accident leaves him unable to continue flying, he turns to screenwriting before finding another opportunity to serve the Navy during World War II. This biographical drama traces a life defined by devotion to naval aviation, balancing professional achievement and perseverance against the personal sacrifices demanded by that commitment.
