Julie Andrews and Omar Sharif… together as only lovers worlds apart can be.
Synopsis
The Tamarind Seed (1974) follows a British Home Office assistant whose Caribbean vacation romance with a charismatic Soviet attaché draws her into the fraught world of Cold War espionage and mistrust. As their relationship deepens, suspicion from British and Soviet intelligence forces her to navigate love, loyalty, and national duty with increasing peril and uncertainty. This British-American romantic spy drama blends political tension and tender intimacy in a reflective tale of attraction and ideology.
