Film Synopsis

The Robe (1953) follows a Roman tribune whose life is forever altered when he oversees the crucifixion of Jesus and wins his robe in a game of chance. As he returns to Rome plagued by guilt and troubling visions, he begins to question his beliefs and seek the meaning behind the man he condemned. This historical epic blends personal transformation, religious drama, and spiritual awakening in a sweeping story set during the Roman Empire and the early spread of Christianity.
