Film Synopsis
The Power of Darkness (1979) focuses on a man convinced that he has uncovered a worldwide conspiracy of blind people operating against the sighted. Unable to prove his suspicions or convince others, he records his investigation in a report while pursuing clues through the nocturnal streets, subways, and underground spaces of Buenos Aires. This Argentine psychological thriller turns his search for evidence into an increasingly disorienting journey, using darkness and enclosed spaces to sustain uncertainty over whether he is uncovering a hidden order or becoming consumed by his own obsession.
