Synopsis
The Palm Beach Story (1942) follows a New York woman who separates from her inventor husband due to ongoing financial hardship. As she travels to Palm Beach with the intention of divorcing and marrying a wealthy man to support them both, a series of unexpected encounters complicates her plan. This comedy blends screwball pacing and social satire in a story of marriage, money, and romantic entanglement.
