Film Synopsis
The House of Hammer, Volume 1 (2026) examines Hammer Films and the wider history of British horror through newly produced documentaries, interviews, archival footage, and rare films. The collection explores subjects including American International Pictures, British film censorship, horror film music, makeup and special effects, actor Michael Gough, and the relationship between Cornwall and British horror. This retrospective collection brings together historical and contemporary perspectives on the films, people, and cultural influences that have shaped British horror cinema.
