The Final Programme (1973) follows a renegade physicist drawn into a mission to recover a stolen microfilm containing his father’s blueprint for creating a self-replicating, immortal human being. As shifting alliances, personal vendettas, and surreal scientific experiments close in around him, the boundaries between visionary innovation and catastrophic hubris begin to dissolve. This science-fiction thriller blends psychedelic futurism and apocalyptic unease in a cool, disorienting study of evolution pushed to its breaking point.
