The Demon

Synopsis

The Demon (1981) centers on a series of brutal murders committed by a mysterious figure wearing black gloves fitted with razor-sharp claws while terrified victims report disturbing visions and unexplained encounters beforehand. As a clairvoyant investigator attempts to track the killer through psychic impressions and increasingly violent attacks spread through suburban neighborhoods, fear and confusion deepen around the seemingly supernatural murderer’s motives and identity. This South African slasher horror film examines paranoia and psychological terror within an unstable urban landscape, as fear begins to overtake reason, with occult suggestion, stalking violence, and dreamlike disorientation.
