Film Synopsis
Guests gather at a secluded mansion for the reading of a mysterious will, only to find themselves targeted by a shadowy killer lurking among them. As secrets unravel and bodies begin to fall, suspicion and fear grip the remaining survivors. Blending classic whodunit mystery with eerie atmosphere, the film delivers suspense and chills in equal measure.

In production terms, The Cat Creeps was the last of the Universal horror films. … Like so many of Universal’s “horror” films of the time, it’s more of a mystery, with a dash of comedy, and only the briefest hint of the supernatural, all of which is thoroughly debunked, Scooby-Doo style, at the end. … The Cat Creeps tries to have its proverbial cake and eat it, dialling in some occasionally spooky scenes and mixing in talk of reincarnation into a cat but it never commits to the horror at all. … At the end of the day, The Cat Creeps is just a mildly creepy murder mystery, one far too dull to work effectively.
