The Blood Rose (1970) centers on an artist who blackmails a disgraced plastic surgeon into performing an experimental operation after his wife suffers devastating facial burns. As the search for a suitable donor leads to abduction, murder, and growing psychological instability, the desperate effort to reclaim her beauty descends into madness and violence. This French horror film blends gothic melodrama, medical horror, and psychological thriller elements as obsession, vanity, and moral corruption spiral toward a disturbing conclusion.
