Film Synopsis
Scream (1996) focuses on a high school student targeted when a masked killer begins murdering teenagers and taunting them by telephone. As a police deputy and television reporter investigate, suspicion spreads through the small town and raises questions about the unsolved circumstances surrounding the student’s past. This self-aware slasher combines whodunit suspense and black comedy with characters who recognize horror conventions yet remain vulnerable to them.
