From the woman she called mother… she learned that even love can have an evil side!
Film Synopsis
Portrait in Black (1960) centers on the wife of a wealthy shipping magnate who conspires with her husband’s physician to free themselves from an unhappy marriage. As the pair believe they have committed the perfect crime while anonymous messages, unexpected deaths, and growing suspicion suggest that someone knows the truth, their carefully constructed plan begins to unravel. This neo-noir melodrama examines guilt and deception within a world of wealth and privilege, as passion and ambition give way to paranoia, with murder, blackmail, and fatal consequences.
