Night of Fear (1973) centers on a young woman whose car is forced off a remote country road, leaving her stranded in an isolated rural area. She soon becomes the target of a sadistic hermit who stalks and terrorizes her as she struggles to escape. This Australian horror film uses rural isolation, an absence of dialogue, and disorienting editing to create a raw, nightmarish exercise in pursuit and terror.
