Film Synopsis
Julius Caesar (1953) centers on Brutus, a Roman senator persuaded by Cassius that Julius Caesar’s growing power threatens the republic. After the conspirators act against Caesar, Brutus finds his ideals challenged as Mark Antony rallies the Roman people and political divisions lead toward open conflict. This historical drama brings William Shakespeare’s tragedy to the screen as a study of political persuasion, divided loyalties, and the consequences of violence committed in the name of principle.
