I Am Waiting (1957) follows a former boxer who now runs a waterfront restaurant and rescues a troubled club hostess on the brink of suicide, sparking a fragile alliance as they both struggle to escape their shadowed pasts. As they confront the club’s gangster controllers and uncover unsettling links to his missing brother’s fate, their tentative connection is tested by violence and the relentless pull of crime.
