Film Synopsis

Hysterical (1983) centers on a struggling writer who travels to the coastal town of Hellview, Oregon, hoping an extended stay at a notorious lighthouse will help him overcome his creative block. As the ghost of a woman who died a century earlier attempts to use him to reunite with her long-lost lover while a series of strange events attracts amateur paranormal investigators and suspicious locals, the haunting quickly descends into comic chaos.
