Frivolous Lola (1998) follows a bold young woman in 1950s northern Italy who loves her fiancé but is frustrated by his insistence on waiting until marriage for sex. As she tries various flirtations and schemes to entice him into intimacy, her actions lead to humorous and provocative encounters in her small community. This erotic comedy combines playful seduction and cultural tensions about youth, desire, and tradition.
