Film Synopsis
Evil Under the Sun (1982) follows famed detective Hercule Poirot vacationing at an exclusive Mediterranean resort who becomes entangled in a murder when a glamorous actress is found strangled on a secluded beach. As rivalries, jealousies, and buried scandals surface among the sun-soaked guests, he methodically untangles alibis and motives behind the façade of leisure. This elegant mystery thriller, based on the novel by Agatha Christie, blends drawing-room wit and intricate deduction in a polished tale of suspicion and deceit.

Edition and Packaging Notes
- Studio Canal’s “Vintage Classics” 4K UHD is also available in “The Agatha Christie Collection” box set with Murder on the Orient Express (1974), Death on the Nile (1978) and The Mirror Crack’d (1980) . It includes a 64-page booklet and four posters. A Blu-ray version of the new transfer is also available.
- Kino’s Blu-ray also includes trailers for: Witness for the Prosecution (1957), Endless Night (1972), Death on the Nile (1978), The Mirror Crack’d (1980), Ordeal by Innocence (1984) and Ten Little Indians (1989).
- Studio Canal’s 2017 “Vintage Classics” Blu-ray includes 5 art cards with reproductions of original costume designs.
- Studio Canal’s 2014 Blu-ray contains no extras. It is included in the “The Poirot Collection” box set with Murder on the Orient Express (1974). and Death on the Nile (1978).
