Film Synopsis
Don’t Deliver Us from Evil (1971) concerns two close friends at a convent school in rural France who make a secret pact to devote themselves to evil. Away from school during the summer, they test that commitment through calculated provocations that become increasingly dangerous. This French psychological horror drama places a steadily darker account of adolescent rebellion within pastoral landscapes and an atmosphere of restrictive Catholic authority.
