Synopsis
Diary of a Mad Housewife (1970) follows an educated but disillusioned housewife trapped in a belittling marriage with an ambitious and domineering lawyer. As she struggles with isolation and humiliation at home, she begins an affair with a cynical writer who offers temporary escape but little emotional relief. This comedy-drama blends sharp social satire, psychological frustration, and dark humor in its portrait of domestic discontent.
