If you can’t have the real thing – you do all kinds of unreal things.
Film Synopsis
Deep End (1970) follows a 15-year-old dropout who takes a job at a local bathhouse and becomes infatuated with Susan, an attractive older colleague, as youthful craving collides with uneasy adult realities. As his mild admiration escalates into stalking, jealousy, and fantasy, the tension between desire and disillusion deepens through uneasy encounters around and beyond the pool. This psychological drama blends coming-of-age unrest and raw obsession in a striking exploration of adolescence and fixation.
