Like nothing your eyes have ever seen before!
Synopsis
Curucu, Beast of the Amazon (1956) centers on a jungle expedition searching the Brazilian rainforest for a legendary monster believed responsible for killing local villagers and researchers. As attacks from the unseen creature intensify around the isolated camp while tensions emerge between the foreign hunters and indigenous communities who regard the beast as supernatural, the expedition descends deeper into danger and paranoia within the hostile jungle terrain. This adventure horror film examines fear and obsession within an exoticized wilderness setting, as isolation deepens, with jungle survival, monstrous folklore, and human greed.
