Its time has come.
Carnal Knowledge (1971) follows Jonathan, a brash and sexually aggressive young man, and his shy roommate Sandy, as they navigate romantic and sexual relationships from their Amherst College days in the late 1940s through middle age in the 1970s. As their choices, including marriages, affairs, and emotional failures, illuminate differing views of desire and connection, both men confront the emptiness and frustration underlying their pursuits. This character drama blends candid social critique and emotional realism in a probing study of male insecurity, intimacy, and disillusionment.
