Breeders

Film Synopsis

Breeders (1986) concerns a Manhattan doctor and police detective investigating a series of sexual assaults whose victims bear traces of an unexplained organic substance. When the women begin behaving strangely, the evidence draws the investigators towards tunnels beneath the city and an assailant that may not be human. This low-budget science-fiction exploitation horror places an alien-monster story within a police-procedural framework shaped by extensive nudity, practical effects, and subterranean settings.
