Synopsis

Brainstorm (1983) follows a research scientist working on a system that records and replays sensory and emotional experiences. As the technology is tested and misused, a colleague records her own death, and efforts to access the recording draw interference from those seeking to control the invention. This science fiction film develops mounting pressure and shifting control, with perception, exploitation, and the limits of human experience shaping events.
