Synopsis
Bonnie Scotland (1935) centers on Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, who journey to Scotland after learning of a family inheritance. As their hopes for a fortune are dashed, a series of mishaps leads them to unintentionally enlist in a Scottish regiment while a romantic subplot involving Stan’s cousin and a young officer develops alongside their misadventures. This comedy adventure examines friendship and perseverance within a world of escalating misunderstandings, as simple mistakes lead to increasingly absurd situations, with inheritance schemes, military service, and Laurel and Hardy’s trademark chaos.
