Film Synopsis
Black Angel (2002) follows a wealthy woman in wartime Italy whose marriage to a high ranking Fascist official leaves her emotionally unfulfilled and detached from the violence around her. On a long drive to Venice she recounts how she became involved in a wild, consuming affair with a captivating but duplicitous SS officer as the war and her country crumble. This erotic drama blends passionate desire, political decay and personal betrayal in a stark study of obsession during historical collapse.
