Synopsis
American Fever (1978) follows a rising dance hall performer whose aspirations for fame place him in environments shaped by nightlife and opportunism. As he pursues opportunities in entertainment, individuals around him begin to exploit his generosity and ambition, pulling him into situations that challenge his control over his future. This Italian disco drama centers on the pursuit of stardom within a predatory social world, as exposure increases, with ambition, exploitation, and shifting loyalty.
