Bone-chilling! The thing is subhuman and it has a knife!
The Murder Clinic (1966) follows a secluded asylum where patients and staff are terrorized by a series of brutal murders. As paranoia spreads, dark experiments and hidden obsessions point toward a sinister truth lurking within its walls. This gothic horror thriller blends eerie atmosphere, psychological suspense, and macabre violence in a tale of madness, secrecy, and death.

The film straddles the boundary between Gothic horror and the giallo. In this respect, it calls to mind Mario Bava’s The Whip and the Body (1963), but while the Bava film only flirted with giallo trappings and spent much of its time on the inner turmoil of its protaganist, this film is much more in line with the giallo proper, with its wide array of shifty red herrings and razor-wielding maniac dressed in black.
