With its American setting and smattering of on-the-skids American star performers peppering the cast list, The Insatiables is typical of the type of Italian thriller that tried to hide its national origins. The end result is curiously muted, though the finale does offer up a few surprises. … The use of voiceover narration and some hardboiled dialogue indicates that director/co-writer Alberto De Martino is going for more of a noir vibe, and indeed the film has been compared (albeit not favorably) to Robert Siodmak’s The Killers (1946).
