At a carnival boxing match, amateur fighter Johnny Flanagan catches the eye of wealthy promoter Giuseppe Vecchi, who introduces him to success and the marital drama surrounding his American wife, Lorna. Lorna seduces Johnny into a torrid affair and convinces him to murder her husband—making it appear accidental—to secure financial gain. As accusations and guilt spiral, a web of betrayal culminates in tragedy and justice.
