Film Synopsis
The Counsellor (1973) portrays a Mafia lawyer who leaves prison determined to abandon the organization and pursue an honest life. Although his godfather reluctantly accepts the decision, a rival uses the situation to challenge the family and draw the former adviser back into the conflict. This Italian-Spanish Mafia crime drama places the relationship between lawyer and godfather at the centre of a widening gang war that shifts from the American West to Sicily.
