Film Synopsis
Sonno Profondo (2013) centres on a killer in a 1970s setting who receives an envelope containing photographs of a recent crime. Troubled by childhood memories, he follows the accompanying clues into a threatening encounter with whoever has been watching him. This experimental giallo largely adopts his visual perspective, using fragmented close-ups and prominent music in place of dialogue to create a claustrophobic atmosphere.
