Film Synopsis
Francesca (2015) centres on two detectives investigating a series of murders accompanied by passages from Dante’s Divine Comedy. Their search for the killer leads them back to the unresolved disappearance of a poet’s young daughter fifteen years earlier. This giallo recreates the appearance and sound of 1970s Italian thrillers, combining grainy, saturated imagery with abrupt close-ups and an insistent score to give the investigation a feverish atmosphere.
