A series of brutal murders targeting young women shocks a quiet Italian town, with all evidence pointing to a mysterious figure in mourning black. As the investigation unfolds, secrets, obsessions, and twisted desires surface among the suspects. The search for the killer leads to a chilling climax where appearances prove fatally deceptive.

Reflections in Black wallows in sleaze to no genuine effect, but this at least gives it a certain seedy appeal, which is absent in the worst gialli of the period. It may be trash, but at least it is honest trash.
