A detective investigating a gruesome decapitation uncovers a chilling connection to an old, unresolved kidnapping case. As he digs deeper, a trail of bodies and buried secrets leads him into a web of deceit, greed, and long-hidden guilt. This tense giallo thriller weaves intricate mystery, stylish violence, and psychological suspense into a gripping tale of murder and revelation.

My Dear Killer is one of the more disturbing and convoluted gialli of its era. The twist-laden screenplay piles on the surprises, but happily it does so without becoming unduly ridiculous. There is also a nastiness to the various deaths which makes it linger in the mind.

Sharing its repellent child-killer theme with the following year’s Don’t Torture a Duckling and Who Saw Her Die?, this is a consummate giallo, which effortlessly draws its audience into a complicated narrative populated by dubious characters.
