Leptirica (1973) follows a young man who seeks to marry the woman he loves, only to encounter resistance from her family and a village plagued by mysterious deaths. As the community fears the return of a vampire spirit, superstition and terror take hold. Blending folklore, rural atmosphere, and chilling horror, the film stands as one of the first Serbian horror movies.
