A new kind of martial arts combat! The skill of gymnastics. The kill of karate.
Film Synopsis
Gymkata (1985) portrays an Olympic gymnast recruited by U.S. agents to enter a lethal contest in Parmistan, where victory would secure permission for an American early-warning station. A conspiracy within the royal court corrupts the competition’s rules, leaving him to survive its physical trials while evading attacks from armed pursuers. This martial-arts adventure uses Yugoslav mountain and village locations as the arena for a combat style built around Olympic gymnastic techniques.
