Dracula

Poster of Dracula

The story of the strangest passion the world has ever known!

  • Photo of Dr. Steve Haberman

Many of the works from this period, including Dracula, remain powerful, definitive examples of the genre. This was due largely to brilliant decisions in the hiring of actors, writers, directors and technical personnel. The combination of timing and circumstances resulted in a novel approach to the subject matter, which was both literal and reticent, and gave films like Dracula a haunting unforgettable quality. They’re not like the horror films from any other period, and that’s their strength and their value.
