Don’t Look in the Basement

aka The Forgotten

Poster of Don’t Look in the Basement

The day the insane took over the asylum!

At a secluded asylum where the staff has been mysteriously murdered, a young nurse arrives to begin work, unaware of the chaos lurking within. As she encounters the strange and disturbed patients, she slowly uncovers a horrifying truth about who is really in charge. Madness, murder, and deception blur the line between caregiver and inmate in this grim psychological horror tale.

Although relatively straight-faced, the film is nevertheless great fun … Wildly gory though the latter stages are, it’s typical of the Brownrigg experience that we should be left at the end with feelings more of sadness than of horror.
