This enjoyably lurid thriller from Umberto Lenzi sees the director continuing to explore the seedier, more sexual side of the genre. The plotting is clever and the small ensemble is attractive, making the film one of the director’s more endearing contributions to a genre he had helped to kick-start in the late 1960s.
