A Game of Crime

This black-and-white thriller takes its cue from H.G. Clouzot’s Les diaboliques (1955), and indeed an awareness of the connection between the two films will make the twists and turns in the screenplay by Alessandro Continenza and Marcello Coscia all the more predictable. … The film moves slowly and is burdened by too many static dialogue scenes. … The end result is not horrible, but it does not amount to much of interest for anybody beyond the most devoted of giallo fans.
