Film Synopsis
Wives Under Suspicion (1938) follows a district attorney who begins to suspect his own wife of being unfaithful while prosecuting a man accused of murdering his adulterous spouse. As paranoia grows, his moral certainty begins to erode, forcing him to confront the dangerous parallels between his life and the case he’s trying to win. This tense crime drama explores jealousy, justice, and conscience in a story of love tested by suspicion.
