The battle of the future is about to begin.

Synopsis

Trancers (1984) follows a hardened police trooper from the 23rd century who travels to 1980s Los Angeles by inhabiting the body of an ancestor to track a fugitive criminal. As the criminal begins transforming civilians into controlled assassins and targeting key individuals tied to the future, the agent works within an unfamiliar era to locate and stop him. This science fiction action narrative develops mounting pressure and shifting control, revealing themes of identity, time displacement, and the fragility of social order.
