Film Synopsis
This Is Elvis (1981) follows the rise of Elvis Presley from his early years in Tupelo and Memphis to international fame as one of the most influential figures in popular music. Through a mixture of concert footage, television appearances, home movies, and reenactments portraying Presley at different stages of his life, the film traces his musical success, cultural impact, and personal struggles. This documentary blends biography, archival performance material, and dramatized reconstruction in a portrait of the life and legacy of the “King of Rock and Roll.”
