Film Synopsis
The White Buffalo (1977) follows aging gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok, tormented by recurring dreams of a monstrous white buffalo, who journeys into the snowy frontier to confront the creature haunting his sleep. As his path crosses with a grieving Native American chief seeking vengeance for his daughter’s death, uneasy alliances form amid harsh wilderness and mutual obsession. This revisionist western blends mythic symbolism and frontier violence in a somber meditation on fate and legend.
